Any audio you record will need to be compressed so that it's small enough to upload to the wiki. For this project we are going to use the mp3 and/or AAC (mp4) file format.
There are 2 ways to do this on a Mac.
1st way.
If the project was done in Garageband then you can compress it when you "share" the file. Do the following:
1.Open your project up in Garageband.
2. Click on the "Share" menu.
3. Choose "export your song to disk"
4. Click the "compress" checkbox
5. Make sure it's chosen "mp3" or "AAC" as the file format.
6. Click "Export"
The file is now ready for uploading to the wiki.
The 2nd Way is if the file is already in iTunes. (This works for Windows too)
1. Select the song in iTunes
2. Go to the "Advanced" menu
3. Click on "Create mp3 version" or "Create AAC version" (You can choose the file format settings in "Preferences")
4. Select the newly converted file
5. Go to "File" menu and select "Show in Finder". This will show you where the file is hiding on your hard drive
